Fence Services in St Johns County, FL
Fortera installs, repairs, and replaces fences across Ponte Vedra and St John’s County, every one built on our 100 mph iDrive Power System and backed in writing.

Fence Installation
New fence built for St. Johns County's new-construction and HOA neighborhoods. Most homes here need architectural-review approval before a single post goes in. We manage that submittal as part of the job, and aluminum and vinyl styles tend to clear review fastest.

Fence Replacement
When a fence is failing, or a storm takes it down, we haul the old one, set new iDrive posts, and match or upgrade your style to current code.
Fence Types and Materials
Every property has different needs. We offer five materials to match your budget, style, and how much maintenance.
The low-maintenance pick. No painting or staining, and it shrugs off coastal humidity.
A wrought-iron look that won’t rust. Good for pool enclosures and yards near the water.
Cost-effective security for yards, pets, and commercial perimeters. Galvanized against salt-air corrosion.
Full-privacy backyards. Board-on-board and shadowbox styles, built for Jacksonville heat and humidity.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do you handle St. Johns County permits?
Yes. The permitting process in St. Johns County differs from Duval County, and requirements within the county vary further depending on whether your property is inside an HOA, inside city limits, or on unincorporated land. We verify requirements for your specific address before we build and manage the full permit process as part of the job. For properties in Nocatee and the Durban/Bartram corridor, there are additional community-specific considerations we navigate regularly. |
Can you get a fence through Nocatee or Ponte Vedra HOA review?
Yes. HOA architectural-review coordination is a standard part of our process for every St. Johns County job, not an add-on. We prepare and submit the full package on your behalf. Nocatee, Ponte Vedra, Sawgrass, and most master-planned communities in this corridor require material approval, color approval, and sometimes style approval before installation. Aluminum and vinyl are the most commonly approved styles in these communities. We’ll advise on the specific requirements for your HOA at the estimate so there are no surprises. |
Best material for coastal St. Johns properties?
Coastal-grade aluminum or vinyl is the right call for most Ponte Vedra Beach, Palm Valley, and ocean-adjacent properties. Aluminum does not rust and holds its finish in salt air and coastal humidity without painting or treatment. Vinyl resists moisture at the panel level and requires minimal maintenance. Both are available in styles that typically clear HOA review in this market. For properties on or near the water, we recommend corrosion-resistant hardware throughout, not just at the post. We’ll give you a specific material recommendation on-site. |
How soon can you start?
Lead times vary by season and current project load. HOA review adds time to the schedule in St. Johns County, so we factor that in from the start. We’ll give you a specific start window at the estimate. |
What new-construction communities do you work in?
We work regularly in Nocatee, Beachwalk, Durbin Crossing, Bartram Park, Julington Creek, World Golf Village, and other fast-growing new-construction communities across northern St. Johns County. These neighborhoods move quickly and most have strict HOA standards. We know the approval requirements and material preferences for most of them going in. |
Do you install pool-compliant fencing in St. Johns County?
Yes. Florida pool barrier code applies across St. Johns County and we install to those standards on every pool enclosure job. Requirements include a minimum 48-inch fence height, self-closing and self-latching gates, and a maximum 4-inch gap between pickets. We verify compliance with the local inspector before calling the job complete. |
