Fence Services in Atlantic Beach
Every Atlantic Beach project is quoted free and on-site. Atlantic Beach runs its own city government and zoning code, separate from Jacksonville, so the rules for where a fence can go and how tall it can be come from the City of Atlantic Beach. When a permit is required, that means working with the City’s Building Division: a Fence Addendum with a current boundary survey, a Tree & Vegetation Affidavit, a Notice of Commencement, and a construction site management plan. Corner lots, pools, easements, and nearby trees each add their own requirements. We sort out what applies to your property at the estimate and prepare the submittals for you.

Fence Installation
New fences for homes and businesses across Atlantic Beach, built around your property's layout, your HOA's approved styles, and the City's permit rules. Every post goes in on the iDrive Power System, driven 48+ inches into undisturbed soil and 10x stronger than traditional concrete footings. No yard disruption, no deposit required.

Fence Replacement
When an old fence is past saving, we tear it out, haul it away, and build the new one in its place. The City of Atlantic Beach requires all old fencing and debris to be removed from the job site, and we take care of that as part of the job. Replacement is also a good time to upgrade to vinyl or aluminum. We match the new fence to your HOA's current standards and handle the permit.

Fence Repair
Not every problem means a new fence. We fix leaning sections, broken pickets and panels, damaged posts, and gates that sag or won't latch, including damage after coastal storms. Every repair starts with an on-site look and a written quote, and we'll tell you plainly when a targeted fix is the right call and when replacement makes more sense.
Fence Types and Materials
Every property has different needs. We offer five materials to match your budget, style, and how much maintenance.
The low-maintenance pick. No painting or staining, and it shrugs off coastal humidity.
A wrought-iron look that won’t rust. Good for pool enclosures and yards near the water.
Cost-effective security for yards, pets, and commercial perimeters. Galvanized against salt-air corrosion.
Full-privacy backyards. Board-on-board and shadowbox styles, built for Jacksonville heat and humidity.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do you have an Atlantic Beach office?
Atlantic Beach is served from our Jacksonville office at 13725 Beach Blvd, Suite 3, Jacksonville, FL 32224, a short drive west of the beaches. Call 904-902-0202 to schedule your free estimate.
Do I need a permit for a fence in Atlantic Beach?
It depends on your property and the project. Since July 1, 2026, Florida law (HB 803) exempts many projects on single-family homes valued at $7,500 or less from building permits. The exemption does not cover structural work, and it does not apply to any property that sits partly or entirely in a flood hazard area, which matters in a coastal city like Atlantic Beach. Commercial and multi-family projects still need permits. Even when no permit is needed, the City’s zoning rules on fence height and placement still apply. We check your lot’s flood zone and project value at the estimate and tell you plainly whether a permit is required.
Do you handle City of Atlantic Beach fence permits?
Yes. When a permit is required, it goes through the City’s Building Division, and the City’s Fence Addendum asks for the property type, whether the lot is interior or has more than one street frontage (corner or through lots), whether there’s a pool, the fence material, and the height. It also requires an accurate, current boundary survey showing the house, driveway, pool, and other existing improvements, plus the fence and gate locations. Block or stone walls, retaining walls, and any fencing over 6 ft need plan details. The City also requires a construction site management plan with every permit. We put the package together and submit it for you.
What if my fence runs through an easement or near trees?
Building in an easement requires a separate Revocable Encroachment Agreement with the City. Removing any tree requires a separate Tree Removal Permit. Atlantic Beach also asks for a Tree & Vegetation Affidavit, submitted through the City’s BSA Online portal, confirming the project won’t damage or remove regulated trees or vegetation under Chapter 23 of the City code. If any work falls within 10 feet of a tree, a tree survey is required for permit approval. We flag these at the estimate so they don’t hold up your install.
What is a Notice of Commencement, and do I need one?
A Notice of Commencement is a Florida form (Chapter 713, Florida Statutes) that records the improvement to your property. It must be recorded and posted on the job site before the first inspection, and it expires one year after recording unless another date is listed. The City warns that failing to record one can result in paying twice for the same improvement. If you’re financing your fence, talk with your lender before recording. We walk you through the form as part of the permit process.
Do you handle HOA approvals for Atlantic Beach communities?
Yes. Most architectural review forms ask for a description of the project, the materials and colors, drawings or photos, and a copy of your certified lot survey showing where the fence will go. We provide spec sheets for our standard styles, like our 6 ft white vinyl privacy fence and 4 ft black 2-rail aluminum fence, so your submittal is complete the first time. Only the homeowner of record can sign the request, and some associations require the project to be substantially finished within a set window after approval. HOA approval does not replace City rules, so we handle both. Under the same 2026 state law, an HOA can no longer require a building permit before it reviews your request, so both approvals can move at the same time.
Best fence material for Atlantic Beach's salt air?
Coastal-grade aluminum or vinyl is the right call for most Atlantic Beach properties. Aluminum does not rust and holds its finish without painting or treatment. Vinyl resists moisture and humidity at the panel level. Both are set on iDrive posts driven at least 48 inches into undisturbed soil.
How much does a fence cost, and how soon can you start?
Cost depends on material, linear footage, height, gate count, terrain, and any survey, permit, or HOA requirements. Lead times vary by season and current project load, with hurricane season and spring the busiest. The best way to get an accurate number and a specific start window is a free on-site estimate. No deposit required.
